May 2026 About the Publication

A small field journal for the long miles.

Endure Weekly is a Wednesday letter and a publication for ultrarunners — the people who do their best thinking after mile thirty, who own three vests, who plan a year out and bring a spare headlamp anyway. We make calculators, gear notes, and long pieces no one else writes.

The publication began the way most useful things do — out of mild frustration. The training-plan generator we wanted didn't exist. The vert calculator we needed had been promised on three different sites and built on none. The hundred-mile post we kept hoping someone would write hadn't been written.

So we wrote it. Then a calculator. Then another. After enough Wednesday mornings, it had become a kind of small publication — a Wednesday letter for ultrarunners and a slowly growing field journal of long pieces, careful gear notes, and tools that respect the kilometers you've already run.

What we believe

Ultrarunning is the long answer to a short question. The short question is "how far?" The long answer takes a year of weekend mornings, a few thousand calories an hour, two pairs of broken-in shoes, and a friend who will sit at an aid station at three in the morning. We try to write for that person.

Reviews, calculators, and training pieces should make your decisions easier, not your scrolling longer. We don't write listicles. We don't pad guides with a thousand words of preamble. We don't run sponsored posts that read like ad copy. If we recommend a vest, it's a vest one of us has actually run a hundred-mile race in.

How we make money

The newsletter is free, forever. Free Zone 2 guide on signup, no upsell. The site earns small affiliate commissions when readers click through to Backcountry or Amazon and buy gear we've recommended — that's it. No sponsored content, no product placements, no pay-to-play reviews. Brands cannot buy a spot on a "best of" list.

We disclose the affiliate relationships clearly on every gear guide and link. If a brand doesn't sell on Backcountry or Amazon, we link to their direct site without commission and tell you we're getting nothing — because the product is worth knowing about anyway.

Who's behind this

Endure Weekly is published by Cozy River Studios, a small Denver studio that runs about two dozen niche sites for the kinds of questions you Google in the kitchen at midnight. The studio's other endurance property is RunBikeCalc — the calculator hub we send our readers to for pace, FTP, and Zone 2 math. Endure Weekly is the long-form companion.

Stay in touch

Reply to any issue and a real person reads it (it's me). Tell us what you're training for, what you wish a calculator existed for, what gear you're stuck on. The next guide we write is usually the one a reader asked for.
